Martin A. Schultz is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and he is a member of the Chicago Bar Association.
Chicago’s Larger Firms. Martin is a former equity partner of Bell, Boyd & Lloyd (1990-1991). Bell, Boyd & Lloyd merged into K&L Gates LLP in March of 2009.
He was an associate attorney with the law firms of Winston & Strawn (1981-1984), Rudnick & Wolfe (1985) and Boodell, Sears, Giambalvo & Crowley, which merged into Bell, Boyd & Lloyd in August of 1987 (1986-1989).
Chicago Board of Trade. From 1978 to 1981 Martin was an economist with the Chicago Board of Trade on the team that created its Financial Instruments, Interest Rate and Index Futures Contracts.
White House. Martin was a staff member from 1975 to 1977 in the Office of the Special Trade Representative of The Executive Office of the President of the United States of America working on its Trade Negotiation Information System for the Tokyo Round of the GATT.
JD. Martin received his Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School, Chicago, IL in 1981.
MBA. In 1976 Martin received his Master of Business Administration degree from The George Washington University, Washington, D.C. where he was a Scottish Rite Scholar and Graduate Teaching Fellow. He majored in International Business.
BA. Martin received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University, New Orleans, LA in 1974 with majors in Economics and Political Science as well as an International Relations Certificate.
